What To Expect

Reactions To Treatment

Generally people report a range of sensations that they have experienced after treatment. The most important thing to remember is that change is a sign that your body is beginning to the adapt to the adjustments it has received.

Occasionally people feel worse before they feel better. This is usually due to your body adjusting to its new alignment. You may experience muscular aches and stiffness, as the tensions in your body change but these effects will settle down as your body gets used to treatment.

It is normal to feel tired after a treatment. This is a sign that the body is wanting you to sleep to allow your body to get on with healing itself, so its important to rest for a while after a treatment.

Occasionally you may experience a headache as a result of waste products being released as your body heals. Make sure you drink plenty of water after a treatment to help flush these toxins out.

Dizziness is a common but transient symptom that is usually due to the release of tension and increased blood flow to the brain.

Sometimes you may feel emotional after a treatment as deep tensions are released from the body.

Periods may become heavier or lighter or your menstrual cycle shorter or less painful and occasionally you may feel nauseous.

If you are taking medication e.g. if you are diabetic you may need to monitor your medication before and after treatment.
